IEC 61000-4-30 Class A power quality analyzers
The Elspec power quality analyzers take power quality monitoring to a whole new level. The analyzers feature the revolutionary Elspec patented PQZIP compression algorithm. The Elspec Blackbox series of power quality analyzers allow you to measure, store and view waveform signals continually at sampling rate of up to 1024 samples per cycle. This fast sample rate ensures that data on your power quality is available without the need to make multiple metering setups and trigger or threshold configurations by using unlimited pre & post trigger measurement techniques. The Elspec analyzers exceed the highest industry standards and comply with the IEC 61000-4-30 power quality standard for Class A measurements. All of the Elspec power quality meters are compatible with the Elspec PQSCADA Sapphire software. This software enables the analysis of over 5000 power parameters from measurements acquired at a waveform signal level of detail.
Fast troubleshooting and complete power quality visibility for reliable root cause analysis
The unique internal architecture of the Elspec Blackbox power quality analyzers provides them with the ability to record at sampling rate of 1,024 sample/cycle. The PQZIP algorithm allows for continuous waveform storage. All the Elspec power quality metering and recording solutions are supported by their multi-vendor power management software, PQSCADA Sapphire. This combination of hardware and software provides calculations to be made for more than 5000 different power parameters by using the recorded waveform date for power quality reporting purposes.
Advanced capabilities
- PQZIP inside
- Continuous waveform recording
- Trigger free setup
- 5000 power parameters at a 1/2 cycle resolution
- Easy deployment
Class A power quality measurements
The Elspec Blackbox analyzers measurement to the highest standards set by the power quality industry. The BLACKBOX devices comply with IEC standards for:
- Aggregations
- Time clock uncertainty
- Event flagging
- Transient influence quantities.
Superior measurment accuracy
Elspec’s pioneering measurement methods utilise dual-range gain of 2 x 16 Bit technology. This method of measurement provides a superior accuracy far surpassing the IEC 61000-4-30 Class A standard. The data the Blackbox meters is capable of capturing allows for the finest details and deviations to be seen in all the power quality parameters measured for the analyzers.
Synchronized Monitoring
A unique time synchronization algorithm assures that all the logged data from multiple units can be synchronized and displayed on the same time scale with a typical resolution of 0.1ms. Every power quality event on the electrical grid can be accurately analysed for its precise root cause, behaviour propagation and then traced to its source.
Department for Energy Security and Net Zero | Energy Technology List
The Elspec Blackbox power quality analyzers are approved on the DESNZ energy technology list. The ETL product approval and qualification process provides independent verification that the Elspec power quality products are in the top 25% of power and energy monitoring test instrumentation currently available on the market. With the inclusion of the Elspec range of Blackbox power quality analysers, Power Quality Expert continues to be the largest stakeholder with the ETL for portable energy monitoring equipment.
